New Feathered Friend

Not only did we make new friends on land and water, we also befriended one of the winged variety (or should I say he befriended us?)! It was cute to begin with, but now we wake up every morning to this little guy, tapping on our window. The worst part is, he keeps it up all day long! Any suggestions on how we can alienate the little guy? Enjoy the photos and the movie clips to show how persistent he is (we tried to scare him away with a guard bee, but he saw right through it)

Also, we have a couple of swans in our lake, they came right up to the beach. They are so beautiful and graceful!

May 2009 Woodlands on the Lake

We made it!
this is our new home for the summer, WHR Woodlands on the Lake in White Cloud, MI. We love it here and are taking such pride in where we live and work. It's really coming along nicely. Soon we'll even have the pool open and I'll have to take pictures of it then. Both of us work in the Lodge, dishing up ice cream, taking care of the store, and checking out recreational equipment for campers. Enjoy the tour of our park!

4-28-09 Kalamazoo, MI

On the final leg of our journey to Woodlands on the Lake in White Cloud, MI, we stopped in Kalamazoo to stay for about a week and during that time, it rained so much that the lake overflowed as you can see from the pictures. Enjoy!

4-19-09 Visit with Anne in Indianapolis, IN

Hey there,
We had a great time visiting with Stacey's younger sister, Anne, and Patrick in Indianapolis. Anne took us on a city tour where we learned a lot about the history. One of the things we saw was the Indy 500 racetrack, as you can see from the photos. From Anne's house we walked to restaurants and the chocolate store too! We stayed at the fairgrounds while we visited.

One night, we played the modern version of Clue and had a blast! It was very different than what we remembered playing as kids. Brad figured out it was Green in the Guest house with the Poison! Thanks, Anne and Patrick, for a wonderful visit!
