1-16 to 26, 2009 Quartzite, AZ boondocking

Hey everyone,
When we first arrived in Quartzsite, we were getting dinner when we came across a van on fire! What a welcome, they shouldn't have gone to all that trouble just for us! For 10 days, we joined Robbie and Alice as well as other Montana owners and had a nice little learning experience on how to boondock, or dry camp. Doug and Sharon Henry were the wagon masters and were able to place 31 rigs evenly around a campfire. What an amazing sight that was! We had never dry camped before and learned soooo much about generators, honey wagons (those vehicles that come around and pump out your holding tanks), and adding fresh water without ever having to move your rig. You can see from the pictures below that we are now experienced boondockers thanks to the MOC (Montana Owners Club). We had campfires every night, a pot luck, and even a game day. Of course there was plenty of time to walk around the big tents and see all the vendors that cater to everything an RVer might need, even those things they really don't need but have to have!

And "really" slick you enjoy each other's company even more.(hee hee )This has really turned out to be quite the experience for you, see it's never to late to learn something new everyday. So happy you've had such fun learning. Thanks for shareing, and love you guy's. Mom ( can't wait for your next journey.
